Historic California Drought

California is now facing the worst drought in the records. Californians are being urged to use less water to help conserve water. Governor Jerry Brown called for a 20% conservation effort throughout the state.

This is really hurting the farmers in California since they supply a lot of the nation's crops like lettuce, onions, garlic, and tomatoes. This drought might have many effects throughout the nation, especially when prices rise in grocery stores. This won't impact just the people in California, but also many other consumers throughout the United States. The financial impact of the drought could actually be in the billions of dollars. According to the National Climatic Data Center, the drought could cost up to $30 billion dollars.
